Also, check the latch on any opening windows. A tip would be to test it with an incense stick so you can see the source of the problem. If it’s cold air coming in around doors then think about using draft stoppers as a quick fix.

If you’ve got squeaky floorboards driving you mad lubricate it by sprinkling talcum powder around it and knocking down any nails that have come loose and lost their grip.

Could also try talcum powder on creaky stairs. If it’s a loose floorboard try driving the nails in further with a nail set or using stainless steel screws covering the heads with wood filler.
